SouthIndian Recipe: Pumpkin Dal Curry
Ingrediants:- Pumpkin – ¼ kg
- Dal – ½ cup
- Green chillies (split the edge) – 3 nos
- Garlic pods – 3 nos
- Chilly powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
- Grated coconut – 1 cup
- Salt – as required
- Water – 1cup
Preparation:
- Cook dal by adding one cup of water.
- When dal is half cooked add pumpkin, green chilles, turmeric powder and salt.
- Roughly grind coconut, cumin seeds, garlic and chilly powder.
- Add this to the curry and mix well.
- When dal and pumpkin is well cooked and curry begins to thicken remove from fire.
