Indian Recipe: Prawn Masala

Ingrediants:
  1. Prawn - 1/2kg
  2. Button onion (crushed)- 1/2 cup
  3. Tomatoes (finely chopped) -1
  4. Ginger(thinly sliced)- one small piece
  5. Garlic (crushed) - four flakes
  6. Green chillies -3
  7. Chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  8. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  10. Garam masala powder - 1tsp
  11. Fish tamarind (socked in water)- 4 to 5
  12. Oil - 1/4 cup
  13. Salt - to taste
  14. Curry leaves - a few
  15. Water - 1 cup

Preparation:
  1. Cook prawns along with water, salt ,fish tamarind and turmeric powder.
  2. Heat coconut oil well, and add the crushed onions and curry leaves.
  3. When the onions turn brown, add the remaining masala powders and sauté well
  4. Add tomatoes, ginger, garlic and green chillies and sauté well.
  5. When the oil appears at the sides,add prawns.
  6. When the gravy thickens, remove from fire.
