Indian Recipe: Mysore Pak

Ingrediants:
  1. Gram flour (Besan flour) – 2 cup
  2. Sugar – 1 1/2cup
  3. Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
  4. Ghee – 3 cup
  5. Milk – 1 tsp
  6. Saffron essence – ¼ tsp
  7. Yellow color – a pinch
  8. Baking soda – a pinch

Preparation:
  1. Fry gram flour in one cup of ghee stirring continuously till a nice aroma comes.
  2. Remove from fire and swift.
  3. Keep the ghee in a hot pan.
  4. Put one cup of water in sugar and make syrup of one third consistency.
  5. Put the flour into the syrup.
  6. Keep on fire and keep stirring continuously.
  7. Add yellow color mixed in milk and cardamom powder.
  8. When it thickens add boiling ghee, a spoon at a time and stir continuously.
  9. When the mixture is well bended and the ghee begins to appear on the surface, mix the essence and baking soda.
  10. Remove from fire and put into a greased dish.
  11. Cut into squares
