Indian Recipe: Mysore Pak
Ingrediants:- Gram flour (Besan flour) – 2 cup
- Sugar – 1 1/2cup
- Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
- Ghee – 3 cup
- Milk – 1 tsp
- Saffron essence – ¼ tsp
- Yellow color – a pinch
- Baking soda – a pinch
Preparation:
- Fry gram flour in one cup of ghee stirring continuously till a nice aroma comes.
- Remove from fire and swift.
- Keep the ghee in a hot pan.
- Put one cup of water in sugar and make syrup of one third consistency.
- Put the flour into the syrup.
- Keep on fire and keep stirring continuously.
- Add yellow color mixed in milk and cardamom powder.
- When it thickens add boiling ghee, a spoon at a time and stir continuously.
- When the mixture is well bended and the ghee begins to appear on the surface, mix the essence and baking soda.
- Remove from fire and put into a greased dish.
- Cut into squares
