Indian Recipe: Meatball Curry

Ingrediants:

For Meatballs

  1. Minced meat – ½ kg
  2. Ginger paste – ½ tsp
  3. Pepper powder – ½ tsp
  4. Green chillies (finely chopped) – 3 no
  5. Salt – as required

For Gravy

  1. Onion (finely chopped) – 1 no
  2. Tomato (diced) – 1 no
  3. Ginger paste – ½ tsp
  4. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  5. Chilly powder – ½ tsp
  6. Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  7. Garam masala – ¼ tsp
  8. Coconut milk – 1½ cup
  9. Oil – 4 tbsp
  10. Salt – as required
  11. Curry leaves – a few
  12. Coriander leaves – a few

Preparation:
  1. Combine minced meat with ginger paste, pepper powder, green chillies and salt.
  2. Make small meatballs and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add onion, ginger, salt and curry leaves and fry till onion is light brown in color.
  4. Then add tomato and all the spices and fry till oil starts to separate from onion and tomato and a nice aroma comes.
  5. Add coconut milk and bring to boil.
  6. Lower the heat and add meatballs.
  7. Cook till meatballs are done and gravy thickens.
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves.

NOTE: Sock 15 cashews or almonds for 2 hrs and grind them into a fine paste. Combine with 1 ½ cup of water. This can be used instead of coconut milk.
