SouthIndian Recipe: Kappa and Beef
(Kappa Biryani)

Ingrediants:
  1. Tapioca (cut into small pieces) – 2 medium size
  2. Beef with a little bit fat – ½ kg
  3. Onion (thinly sliced) – 1 no
  4. Green chillies – 2 no
  5. Ginger (crushed) – 2 cm long piece
  6. Button onion (crushed) – 5 pods
  7. Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  8. Chilly powder – 1 tsp
  9. Coriander powder – 1 ½ tsp
  10. Garam masala – ½ tsp
  11. Curry leaves –a few
  12. Oil – 4 tbsp
  13. Salt – as required

Preparation:
  1. In a pan cook tapioca, salt and enough water to cover them.
  2. When tapioca is cooked drain the excess water and keep aside.
  3. Cook beef, onion, ginger, salt along with half portion of chilly and turmeric powder.
  4. In a pan heat oil and add button onion, curry leaves and all the spices.
  5. Fry them till button onion and spices are well fried and oil starts to separate.
  6. Add cooked tapioca, beef and ¼ cup of water and mix well.
  7. When the curry begins to thicken remove from flame.
