Indian Recipe: Fish Molee

Ingrediants:
  1. Fish (Pomphret or Karimeen) - 4 nos
  2. Tomato - 2 nos
  3. Button onion (sliced) - 1 cup
  4. Green chilli (slit the edge) - 5 no
  5. Cardamom  (partially crushed)– 5 nos
  6. Ginger - 1 inch
  7. Garlic - 5 cloves
  8. Vinegar - 2 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  10. Thin coconut milk - 1 cup
  11. Thick coconut milk - 1 cup
  12. Salt - As required
  13. Curry leaves - a few
  14. Coconut oil - as required

Preparation:
  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan.
  2. Sauté sliced button onions, green chillies, cardamom, ginger, crushed garlic and turmeric powder for about 2 mins.
  3. Add the thin coconut milk and salt.
  4. When it begins to boil add the fish and cook till the fish is done.
  5. Lower the flame and add thick coconut milk and tomatoes.
  6. Cook till tomatoes are just cooked.
  7. Sprinkle vinegar on top and swirl the pan gently.
  8. Heat oil in another pan and fry two sliced button onion and curry leafs.
  9. Add this to the curry and serve hot with bread.
