Indian Recipe: Egg Biryani
Ingrediants:- Basmati rice - 2 cups
- Eggs (hard boiled) - 4 nos
- Eggs (scrambled) - 2 nos
- Onion (finely chopped)- 1 no
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Tomato (diced) - 2 nos
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
- Cardamom (Elakka) - 5 - 8 nos
- Cloves (Grambu) - 4 - 6 nos
- Cinnamon (Karugapatta) - A small stick
- Butter - as required
- Water – 3 1/2cup
- Salt - As required
- Onion (thinly sliced) for garnishing - 2
- Cashew nuts - a few
- Raisins - a few
Preparation:
- In a pressure cooker add 3 tbsp of butter and fry the chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste.
- When the onion is brown color add the chilly powder and turmeric powder and fry for a while.
- Then add the chopped tomatoes and all the masala and sauté well.
- When the butter appears at the top add the water.
- When the water begins to boil add the rice and cover cooker by the lid.
- Cook till 3 to 4 whistle comes and switch off the flame.
- When the pressure goes open the lid and wait for the rice to cool a little.
- Dig the boiled egg in rice.
- In a pan add some butter and fry the onion till it is golden brown and crisp.
- Fry cashew nuts and raisins in butter.
- Garnish the rice with all the fried things, scrambled egg.
