Indian Recipe: Dal Fry

Ingrediants:
  1. Dal -1cup
  2. Water - 2 cup
  3. Chopped tomatoes - 1 no
  4. Onions (finely chopped) - 1 small
  5. Ginger-garlic paste - ½ tbsp
  6. Chilly powder - ½ tbsp
  7. Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  8. Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp
  9. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  10. Oil - 4 tbsp
  11. Salt - As required

Preparation:
  1. Cook dal and water till the dal is done.
  2. Heat oil in a small pan and fry cumin seeds.
  3. Add the chopped onion, salt, ginger-garlic paste and fry till onion begins to light brown in color.
  4. Add the turmeric powder, chilly powder and tomatoes and fry till oil begins to separate.
  5. Add into the cooked dal and mix well.
  6. Garnished with coriander leaves.
