Indian Recipe: Coconut Chicken Curry
Ingrediants:- Chicken pieces - 1kg
- Coconut milk -1½ cup
- Onion (thinly sliced) -1 nos
- Green Chillies - 5nos
- Ginger (thinly sliced)- 2 inch piece
- Garlic (crushed) - 3 pods
- Chilly powder - ½ tbsp
- Coriander powder - ½ tbsp
- Turmeric powder - ¼ tbsp
- Garam masala - ½ tbsp
- Curry leaves - a few
- Salt - as required
- Oil - 3 tbsp
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a pan and saute onion, green chillies, ginger, garlic and curry leaves till onions are slight brown color.
- Make a paste of all the powders by adding a little water.
- Add this to the pan and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Then add chicken pieces and salt and mix well.
- Cover the pan with a lid.
- Cook in low flame till chicken is well cooked.
- Pour the coconut milk and bring to boil.
- When it beings to thickens remove from flame.
