Indian Recipe: Chicken Fry

Ingrediants:
  1. Chicken (cut into pieces) – 1 kg
  2. Onion (thinly sliced) – 2
  3. Tomato sauce – ¼ cup
  4. Green chillies – 4 no
  5. Ginger (crushed) – 1 inch long piece
  6. Garlic (crushed) – 5 pods
  7. Chilly powder – ½ tbsp
  8. Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  9. Pepper powder – 1 tsp
  10. Garam masala – ½ tsp
  11. Curry leaves – a few
  12. Oil – ¼ cup
  13. Salt – as required

Preparation:
  1. Marinate chicken with chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken pieces and keep aside.
  3. Fry ginger, garlic and green chillyes in the fried oil in the pan.
  4. Add onions, pepper powder and garam masala and fry them till onion is brown.
  5. Add the tomato sauce and fry for a few minutes.
  6. Add fried chicken pieces and mix well.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot.
