Indian Recipe: Carrot Halwa
Ingrediants:- Carrot (grated) – ½ kg
- Milk – 3 1/2 cup
- Maida or all purpose flour – 2 tbsp
- Cashew nut (roasted in ghee)– a few
- Ghee – 50 gm
- Sugar – 125 gm
- Cardamom (peeled and powdered) – 4
Preparation:
- Mix carrot, milk, maida and sugar
- Cook in a thick bottomed pan on medium flame.
- Stir continuously and add ghee little by little.
- Cook till a round mass is formed in the pan.
- Add the cardamom powder.
- Grease a plate and set the mixture in it.
- When cool, cut into squares
- Garnish with Cashew nuts.
