Indian Recipe: carrot Fry
Ingrediants:- Carrot (cut into long pieces) - 3 big
- Onion (thinly sliced) – 1
- Chilly powder – ¼ tbsp
- Mustard seeds – a few
- Curry leaves – a few
- Oil – 4 tbsp
- Salt – as required
Preparation:
- In a frying pan heat oil and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add onion, chilly powder and curry leaves and fry till onion is slightly brown.
- Then add carrots and salt and sauté well.
- Lower the flame and put the lid on and cook till carrots are ¾ cooked.
- Remove the lid and in a medium heat well fry the carrots till they are soft.
- Goes well with rice and fish curry as a side dish.
