Indian Recipe: Butter Chicken
Ingrediants:- Boneless chicken (cut into small cubes)– ½ kg
- Chopped onion – 2
- Chopped tomato –2
- Curd - ¼ cup
- Chilly powder – ½ tbsp
- Turmeric powder –1/4 tsp
- Garam masala – ½ tbsp
- Coriander powder –1tbsp
- Cashew nuts – 15
- Ginger- garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Butter – 3 tbsp
- Salt – as required
- Chopped coriander leafs – 1 tbsp
Preparation:
- Marinade chicken in curd.
- Soak cashew nuts in water for 2 hrs and grind into a fine paste.
- In a pan fry onion, salt and ginger- garlic paste till onions are golden brown.
- Soak chilly, turmeric, coriander powder and Garam masala in ¼ cup of water and make a fine paste
- Add tomato and soaked powders into the pan and fry for 5 minutes.
- Add chicken and cover the pan with a lid.
- Cook till chicken become tender.
- Add cashew nut paste and cook till the gravy thickens.
- Remove from flame and garnish with the coriander leafs.
- Serve hot with nan or basmathi rice.
