Indian Recipe: Butter Chicken

Ingrediants:
  1. Boneless chicken (cut into small cubes)– ½ kg
  2. Chopped onion – 2
  3. Chopped tomato –2
  4. Curd - ¼ cup
  5. Chilly powder – ½ tbsp
  6. Turmeric powder –1/4 tsp
  7. Garam masala – ½ tbsp
  8. Coriander powder –1tbsp
  9. Cashew nuts – 15
  10. Ginger- garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  11. Butter – 3 tbsp
  12. Salt – as required
  13. Chopped coriander leafs – 1 tbsp

Preparation:
  1. Marinade chicken in curd.
  2. Soak cashew nuts in water for 2 hrs and grind into a fine paste.
  3. In a pan fry onion, salt and ginger- garlic paste till onions are golden brown.
  4. Soak chilly, turmeric, coriander powder and Garam masala in ¼ cup of water and make a fine paste
  5. Add tomato and soaked powders into the pan and fry for 5 minutes.
  6. Add chicken and cover the pan with a lid.
  7. Cook till chicken become tender.
  8. Add cashew nut paste and cook till the gravy thickens.
  9. Remove from flame and garnish with the coriander leafs.
  10. Serve hot with nan or basmathi rice.
