Indian Recipe: Beans Thoran

Ingrediants:
  1. Beans (cut into small pieces)– a bunch
  2. Onion (finely chopped) – 1no
  3. Green chillies – 4 no
  4. Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
  5. Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
  6. Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  7. Grated coconut – two handfuls
  8. Curry leaves – a few
  9. Oil – 3 tsp
  10. Salt – as required

Preparation:
  1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  2. Add the cumin seeds, turmeric powder, green chillies and chopped onion and fry well.
  3. Add grated coconut, beans, curry leaves and salt and mix well.
  4. Put the lid on and lower the flame.
  5. Stir occasionally and cook till beans are cooked.
