Selecting Lipstick Color

Select a color that matches your makeup and dress.
For a daytime party select a light and natural looking color.
Dark shades are best for night parties.
If you are adventures you can mix colors and find a color that matches you.

Preparation

Exfoliate lips with a toweling face cloth to remove dead skin cells. Otherwise they will be dry and flaky and make the lipstick look patchy. Then follow with a conditioning balm.
If you live or work in a heated or air conditioned environment, you may need to apply lip balm several times during the day to maintain moist lips.

Applying Lip Pencil

Line lips with lip pencil in a nude shade or one close to your lip ton.
Never select a lip liner shade darker than the lipstick. When lipstick fades away, you’ll left with an unattractive line around your mouth.
Color in entire lip with lip pencil.
Use the side of the pencil to fill in the lips, working from the middle to the corners.
Penciling in the whole lip helps to prevent the lipstick from bleeding around the lip.

Applying Lipstick

Take lipstick on the lip brush. Fill in the outline evenly.
For upper lips brush form center to the side of the lips. For lower lips brush form side to side.
Apply lipstick on the corners also. Then blot your lips with a tissue paper to remove excess of moisture.

Applying Lip Gloss

Follow with your chosen color, then dabs it on the lips with the applicator then smoothes it out with your fingertips, working from the center and patting outwards to the edges.
