Applying Eye Liner

Make sure that you have a clean, sharp point on your pencil.
Apply kohl in one line. Start from the middle and take the line to the outside edge of the eye.

Don’t apply eyeliner to the inside of your eyelids-it can cause irritation.
Don’t make the lines too thick or too dark.

If you have a oily skin don’t use kohl as it will smudge-liquid eyeliner will have more staying power.

For a smoky look

Line under the eye, tapering the line towards the middle with a thicker line at the outside edges.

Eyeliner for night

For a gorgeous nighttime look, run a black kohl pencil along the lash line.
To soften the look, gently smudge with a cotton bud.

For fun add liquid eyeliner close to the lashes, adding a kick at the outer edges. With liquid eyeliner, it’s best to do a trial run first.

Eyeliner for day

For a bright daytime look, apply a smudge of pink, cream, white or forest pale blue shadow all over the eye socket.

Line just the top of the eyelid with a flashy, vivid liquid eyeliner color.

Eyeliner for big eyes

Draw the eyeliner through the inside portions of the eyelid and when it dries up apply once more. Draw it as narrow as possible.

For big eyes it can be made beautiful only using eye shadows.

Eyeliner for small eyes

Draw eyeliner through the outside portions of the eyelid. Draw it a little longer in the outside corner. Draw two or three times.
Use a dark colored eye shadow in the corners.
