Indian Recipe: Prawn Cutlet

Ingrediants:
  1. Prawns (Chemmeen) – 1/2 kg
  2. Onion (finely chopped)– 2 nos
  3. Potato (cooked and mashed)– 2
  4. Green chillies (finely chopped)– 6 nos
  5. Ginger paste – 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder – 1/4 tbsp
  7. Black pepper powder - 1/2tbsp
  8. Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp
  9. Salt – As reqd
  10. Egg – 1 no
  11. Bread crumbs – As reqd
  12. Oil - for frying

Preparation:
  1. Cook prawns well with salt a little and turmeric powder and mince it.
  2. Heat 3 tbsp of oil in a pan add onion, green chillies, ginger paste, black pepper and Gram masala and sauté well.
  3. Add the prawns and fry well.
  4. When it cools add mashed potatoes and mix well.
  5. Make oval shaped balls off the above mixture.
  6. Dip them first in beaten egg and roll them in breadcrumbs.
  7. Deep-fry them in hot oil, till they turn brown in color.
  8. Server hot with tomato sauce and salad.
