Indian Recipe: Prawn Cutlet
Ingrediants:- Prawns (Chemmeen) – 1/2 kg
- Onion (finely chopped)– 2 nos
- Potato (cooked and mashed)– 2
- Green chillies (finely chopped)– 6 nos
- Ginger paste – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tbsp
- Black pepper powder - 1/2tbsp
- Garam masala - 1/2 tbsp
- Salt – As reqd
- Egg – 1 no
- Bread crumbs – As reqd
- Oil - for frying
Preparation:
- Cook prawns well with salt a little and turmeric powder and mince it.
- Heat 3 tbsp of oil in a pan add onion, green chillies, ginger paste, black pepper and Gram masala and sauté well.
- Add the prawns and fry well.
- When it cools add mashed potatoes and mix well.
- Make oval shaped balls off the above mixture.
- Dip them first in beaten egg and roll them in breadcrumbs.
- Deep-fry them in hot oil, till they turn brown in color.
- Server hot with tomato sauce and salad.
