Indian Recipe: Prawn Pickle
Ingrediants:- Prawn (cleaned) – 2 cup
- Fish tamarind (socked in a little water) – 2 nos
- Garlic pods – 25 nos
- Ginger – 2 inch piece
- Green chillies – 5 nos
- Chilly powder – 1 tbsp
- Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Vinegar – ½ cup
- Oil – for frying
- Salt – as required
Preparation:
- Cook the prawn along with fish tamarind, turmeric powder and salt.
- Drain the juice from the prawn and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the prawns till they are golden brown and keep it aside.
- Fry Ginger, garlic and green chillies.
- Add chilly powder and pepper powder and fry well.
- Add the juice from the prawn and cook till a thick gravy is obtained.
- Pour the vinegar and bring to boil.
- Remove from flame, add the prawns and mix well.
