Indian Recipe: Prawn Pickle

Ingrediants:
  1. Prawn (cleaned)  – 2 cup
  2. Fish tamarind (socked in a little water) – 2 nos
  3. Garlic pods – 25 nos
  4. Ginger – 2 inch piece
  5. Green chillies – 5 nos
  6. Chilly powder – 1 tbsp
  7. Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
  8. Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  9. Vinegar – ½ cup
  10. Oil – for frying
  11. Salt – as required

Preparation:
  1. Cook the prawn along with fish tamarind, turmeric powder and salt.
  2. Drain the juice from the prawn and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the prawns till they are golden brown and keep it aside.
  4. Fry Ginger, garlic and green chillies.
  5. Add chilly powder and pepper powder and fry well.
  6. Add the juice from the prawn and cook till a thick gravy is obtained.
  7. Pour the vinegar and bring to boil.
  8. Remove from flame, add the prawns and mix well.
