Indian Recipe: Beef/ Mutton Stew

Ingrediants:
  1. Beef/ Mutton – ½ kg
  2. Coconut milk – 2 cup
  3. Onion (thinly sliced) – 2
  4. Green chillies – 5
  5. Ginger (thinly sliced)– 2 inch piece
  6. Black pepper – 1 tbsp
  7. Cinnamon stick – 2 long pieces.
  8. Cardamom – 8
  9. Cloves – 10
  10. Potatoes – 2
  11. Carrots – 2
  12. Raisins -  a few 
  13. Cashew nuts – a few
  14. Curry leaves – a few
  15. Butter / ghee – 4 tbsp
  16. Salt – as required

Preparation:
  1. Boil potatoes and carrots and slice into small square pieces.
  2. Pressure cook Beef/ Mutton along with onions, ginger, green chillies, salt and all the masalas.
  3. Add potatoes, carrots and coconut milk to the Beef/ Mutton and boil.
  4. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. Heat butter in a pan and fry raisins, cashew nut and curry leaves.
  6. Add this to the curry and serve hot with Palappam or bread.
