Indian Recipe: Beef/ Mutton Stew
Ingrediants:- Beef/ Mutton – ½ kg
- Coconut milk – 2 cup
- Onion (thinly sliced) – 2
- Green chillies – 5
- Ginger (thinly sliced)– 2 inch piece
- Black pepper – 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon stick – 2 long pieces.
- Cardamom – 8
- Cloves – 10
- Potatoes – 2
- Carrots – 2
- Raisins - a few
- Cashew nuts – a few
- Curry leaves – a few
- Butter / ghee – 4 tbsp
- Salt – as required
Preparation:
- Boil potatoes and carrots and slice into small square pieces.
- Pressure cook Beef/ Mutton along with onions, ginger, green chillies, salt and all the masalas.
- Add potatoes, carrots and coconut milk to the Beef/ Mutton and boil.
- Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Heat butter in a pan and fry raisins, cashew nut and curry leaves.
- Add this to the curry and serve hot with Palappam or bread.
