Indian Recipe: Goan Beef/ Mutton Curry
Ingrediants:- Beef/ Mutton – ½ kg
- Onion (finely chopped) – 2
- Green Chillies – 6
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Aniseeds (perum jeerakam) – 1 tsp
- Ginger (thinly sliced) – 2inch piece
- Coconut milk – 1 ½ cup
- Garlic pods- 10
- Lemon - 1
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt – as required
- Coriander leaves – a few
Preparation:
- Grind 3 green chillies, aniseeds, turmeric powder, ginger, garlic, and half of coriander leaves into a fine paste.
- Marinate Beef/ Mutton with this paste for 1 hr
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and sauté chopped onions and green chillies till onions begin to change its color to slight brown.
- Add Beef/ Mutton, salt and a little water and cook till Beef/ Mutton is done.
- Add coconut milk and cook till gravy thickens.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and sliced lemon.
