Indian Recipe: Beetroot Fry
Ingrediants:- Beetroot (cut into long pieces) –2 nos
- Onion (thinly sliced) – 1 nos
- Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
- Green chillies – 4 nos
- Oil – 4 tbsp
- Salt – as required
- Curry leafs –a few
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
- Fry onions, curry leafs, green chillies and salt till onion changes its color to light brown.
- Add beetroot and saute well.
- Lower heat and cover the pan with a lid. Cook till beetroot is tender.
- Then fry in a medium heat till all the water is evapurated and beetroot is well fried.
- Remove from flame and serve hot with rice as a side dish.
